QuEST
is QUeer Empowerment thru Solidarity and Truth

Quest is comprised of youth from Out Now dedicated to educating ourselves and others on the intersections between queer youth and the Prison Industrial Complex (PIC). We are a member of the State Wide Harm Reduction Coalition (S.H.a.R.C)which includes 30 organizations and individuals spanning Massachusettes.

Quest is working to:

        • Develop an anti-oppression analysis

        • Raise awareness, in our communities, of the particular ways the
           prison industrial complex affects the lives of queer youth

        • Stop relying on incarceration as a way of solving our problems

        • Learn ways to resolve conflict without revenge or violence

        • Learn how to ‘right’ our ‘wrongs’ in more creative and humane ways.
          –Ways that aren’t so dependent on the use of the police,
          criminal justice and prison systems…all which are profiting off
          of our pain.

QuEST is always seeking creative new ways to understand the effects of the PIC on queer youth. We currently are performing a skit entitled "Inside -n- Out" which cronicles the life of a queer youth caught withing the prison system. We also just finished a wonderful comic book that tells the same story of "Inside -n- Out".
